I'm gettin' a 20GB iPod tomorrow. w00t!
Gotta love the craigslist community. I found this unused iPod for a good price. I've sold my laserdisc collection (and even the busted player!), found an external frame backpack for bex, and I'm still looking for offers on my old Rio 600 MP3 player and Visor Platinum. Anyone interested? I gotta go through the rest of my junk and sell it now... I've been putting it off for too long, and the junk has just been piling up. I'm distracted by the thought of 20 gigs of portable audio goodness... I can't wait to pile my entire library onto the iPod, and then some.
Don't forget a case! Maybe I just got a bad one, but I dropped my original 'Pod a couple of times and had to get it repaired under Mastercard's extended warranty (back in the bad old days of 90 days). And I hadn't dropped it for a while when it died (but HD was much louder than it had been when new).
So when I got the replacement back, I went ahead and got the xtreme Mac case, which was pricey, but has been highly satisfactory, in that it has a sort of carrying strap and I can loop it around my wrist before walking anywhere. So far, not spills with the latest one after about 9 months.

I have a 5gig ipod now and I love it, I wanted to get the 10gig at the time but I didn't have the cash. I only have 400 songs on it right now - after I pruned out my MP3 list - I can collect alot of music that I don't listen to.
Defently get a case, I got mine in November and its all scratched up, I normally only keep it in my coat or a empty pocket and it got beatup. I have a case for it somewhere around here... hehe
