i like the webcam, listening and recent comments boxes...everything else can stay or go and i wouldn't notice

I'm partial to three columns ... even though I only have two. I USED to have three, back when it was hosted on my own server ... now it's not. *sob* Thanks a lot for dredging up horrible old memories! *cry*

Personally, I like the 2-column format (obviously since I use it on my site). It just has a cleaner look and feel in general IMO.

Yeah, I'm with the two-column peeps here.

Problem is, with CSS, so many of the blogs out there pretty much look the same.

Sure the colors are different and all, but the general logic of the layout is the same.

Keep the 3 column layout.

But add the following:

1. Navigation that I can't understand.
2. Pointless use of Flash.
3. Some animated icons, especially one of those letters that writes itself and goes into an envelope
4. A few frames here and there.
5. Get a java applet that makes a picture look like a pond ripple.
6. Dancing Jesus if you can find him

Blend the simplicity of 2003 with the utter awe and wonder of 1995!!!

also a two-columner. But you have a bit too much stuff for two columns. So...either jettison some stuff, or stick with three.

That's not CSS's fault....that's blogger laziness for not designing their own original innovative template

Hi! I like everything the way it is now except for the page refresh thing--especially when I'm reading a long entry. It takes me back to the top, then I have to scroll down and find where I was! :x

the 3 column is better since you have so much content there. if you reduce the content, then a 2 column approach would be nice.

maybe break out some of the content into sub-pages. sometimes less is more. =)

Less is always more, no matter what - except for money maybe. And sex. Oh, and beer. Ok, nevermind.

Why are you worrying about changing the layout when your .currently. box hasn't budged in a coupla weeks? :)

Gonna have to agree with Michael Park: drop the page reloading. It drives me crazy!

3 is great for keeping stuff near the top...you can try out both 3 and 2 columns on my site...just different style sheets. Give it a try! Click on one of the "Colorize" button in the upper left column (2 = 2 column, 3 = 3 column). Have fun!

Hmm, I think the right column is quite a bit too long right now. Maybe your best bet would be for you to start blogging more! w00t ;)

Depending on the amount of stuff you have, either 2 or 3 works. I have seen a very few beautiful 3 column blogs, more 2 column blogs. You could use a script to change the layouts so people get to choose what they like if you get adventurous. I prefer simple myself. I've seen one column blogs that worked, had links along row at top, but it didn't have all the cool goodies like webcam. Probably stick with 2 column is the best. It looks nice now.

maybe you get rid of the recent comments and entries, and place the archives list in a droplist or a separate page. that would reduce the right column quite a bit.

too much info on the frontpage can be overwhelming. just my 2 cents.
