Die hard users of Chimera complained that Safari lacked the tabbed browsing feature that so enhanced their lives. ag-guys.com

Wait no longer, my mac friends!

Safari to get tabbed browsing
(found on ThinkSecret via blogzilla)

In beta 62 of Safari, which has yet to be posted for download, tabbed browsing can be activated via the hidden debug menu. Once turned on, pressing Command-T opens a new tab. In Safari, tabs are lined up in their own bar below the toolbar, much like the bookmarks bar. When the bookmarks bar is shown, the tabs are presented below it.

I've got Mozilla on my system and tabbed browsing is only a "meh' feature for me. Alt-tabing to switch windows is about as useful. I would much rather see IE7 have full PNG and CSS2 support than tabbed browsing.

I have been using the beta Safari for a couple days now. Even though it is an improvement, tabs, better CSS2 support and a couple other things. I still use Chimera(Camino) as my main browser. Safari's ctrl/right click still lacks some options I use.

I also wish that Chimera could support more of the plugins that are avaliable for Mozilla though. But Mozilla for the Mac still is crappy, can't just install the browser, and it does not blend well with Aqua. So for me Chimera is still my OSX browser of choice.
