I am officially Jaguar-ed. So far, so good. I will recommend to you folks out there who have not installed it yet, to use the Archive and Install option... it's a new install option that archives everything from your previous system (assuming you are running OS 10.x already)... very handy. safedrugstock.com
Also, refer to this sidebar from the current MacWorld mag Migrate to Jaguar with a Clean Install. There's more info at this link than in the printed mag.
I've spent almost the whole afternoon tinkering with this OS. Me likey.
Now... to .Mac... or not to .Mac?
i haven't decided yet, either. i probably will, at the last minute, if only because i use my mac.com email address for lots of stuff.
i must admit i'm pretty annoyed with Apple about this. if it just weren't so bloddy expensive ...

transmitted by courtney on September 15, 2002 11:58 PMTough one on the .Mac - it's super nice to have remote storage that's easily accessible. Plus, if you have multiple Mac's, it makes synchronizing them quite a bit easier. Plus, I think it's still cheap - for now.
transmitted by Mike on September 16, 2002 01:40 PMI think that a lot of mac users are going to purchase .Mac at the last minute on the evening of September 30... heh.
Most of us are undecided, it seems.
