some foods I can live on:

then again, is there such a thing as too much of a good thing? I suppose that you could get sick of something if you have it all day, every day, for an extended period of time. cheapodrugs.com

What are your food obsessions?

butter chicken. Oh I so love butter chicken...

Oh, oh, Porkchops and Carrots. La-eng. Mongo beans with shrimp and ampalaya (sour vegetable). Yummy. Yikes, the Pilipino in me is coming out.

I'm more a "salty/spicy" person than a sweets person. So my two food obsessions are Terra "Potpourri" chips (various vegies fried and salted) and Whataburger Bacon and Cheeseburgers with Jalepeno slices.

Which is why I'm currently on an alternate day fasting diet I suppose :-)

mm yeah sashimi, shrimp tempura, terra chips and this flash fried beef appetizer from my favorite restuarant ever:http://www.good-news-cafe.com/

There is this Vietmanese resturant down the street from work that serves the bestest Spicy Chicken. That or General's Chicken is one of my favorites. Nachos are always a plus, and nothing beats a good medium cooked steak in my book.

Wuddaya mean, obsessions (carbs!)? Addictions (carbs!) is more like it.
Carbs, Carbs, Carbs. My friend Holly called our place in Los Gatos The House of Carbs (carbs!). So true. Sigh. Now, if you'll excuse me (carbs!), I must get back to my (carbs!) granola. :-)

I'm all about the carbs. They are my friend. My metabolism is much too high. (The girls envy me for it I need to have a constant supply of energy (carbs) coming down the pipeline at all times, like one of those guys that shovels coal into a furnace to make the train or ship go. Cept my guy doesn't get a break and never goes home.

Chicken parmesean is at the top of the list with lots of steamed asparagus.

Sushi
Sashimi
BBQ'd Beef Brisket
Gyoza
Cajun spiced beef or chicken

I eat a lot of more generic carbs too, as my pals on the Atkins diet remind me. But then again who's only ten pounds heavier than they were at then start of university? :)

transmitted by Andy on May 8, 2003 04:37 PM

Your post made me go and buy sushi!

transmitted by :: jozjozjoz :: on May 8, 2003 09:18 PM

I also bought sashimi, too. But my budget could handle a tiny bit of sashimi & a lot more sushi.

hey C - have you been to Hamano Sushi near 24th and Castro? it's *really* good stuff. if you haven't been there, next time you're up thisa way, i recommend it. oh, and uh ... lemme know if you're going. i'll join you. ;)

and i'm finding that i'm always happier with a more Atkins-ish diet and minimal carbs. *shrug* diabetes in the family and all ...

Guacamole. How could i possibly live with out that green goodness. Chicago style Hotdogs also rank highly. mmmmm im hungry now

transmitted by Taylor on May 8, 2003 10:59 PM

sushi and sashimi top my list. my girlfriend lives in toronto, right around the corner from the best sushi place i've been to... if i lived there i'd be there every night. two people can stuff themselves for CAN$20 (~$14 US). that would be my ideal.

in reality, however, i usually end up zapping a lean cuisine for dinner and washing it down with a frosty yuengling.

transmitted by brian on May 9, 2003 06:32 AM

lately it's been naan and curry or pho and then boba. hmmmmm pho and boba!

transmitted by james on May 9, 2003 10:51 AM

i could never date you... we'd only be able to go out for chips n salsa... i hate all that other stuff you mentioned!

transmitted by mikey on May 9, 2003 03:04 PM

Oooooh gyoza... I forgot about gyoza. Can you believe that?
