I have no idea what just happened, but I lost all of my bookmarks that I had in Chimera. They just... disappeared. mymexicandrugstore.org

I had some old bookmarks from a few months back from IE, before I made the switch to Chimera... so I'm salvaging. All my recent bookmarks are gone. Isn't it funny that when we lose something as simple as bookmarks, we feel so lost?
Oh well. This pushed me over the fine line to finally make Safari my default browser, and I have been slowly rebuilding my bookmarks. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise.
hehe did you check to make sure your bookmarks.xml file was still there and uncurrupt? I still need to make the switch over to Safari, but I might wait till a few more versions come out and there aren't any big security holes in it.

Hey. I hosed my whole OS X installation.
It could be worse.
transmitted by naladahc on January 20, 2003 03:36 AMBumma. Yeah, the whole bookmarking thing is still a point on contention for me. I actually use them in Safari (for the first time ever), but there still isn't a traditionally-Apple "easy" way to back them up - or better yet, sync with other Macs.
BookIt 3 isn't bad, but it doesn't support Safari - a there are a few too many steps involved.

transmitted by mike on January 20, 2003 10:07 AMLosing and rebuilding bookmarks is one of the most frustrating experiences. It is very similar to misplacing my cell phone and then trying to remember that one phone number that I programmed so long ago.
