Okay, okay, so we're getting local cell phones. Everyone's been bugging me to change my cell phone so it's not a long distance call. Heh. 247-drugstore.com
Thought I'd do a little geeky bragging here. We got Handspring Treos. Weeee!
I've been staying up late a lot lately. Could be because I'm not working. I guess I am back into the night owl schedule like I used to be. It almost bothers me, because I'm on a different schedule than the rest of the house, so I don't really get to spend time with anyone. It's almost lonely. But I get a lot more done this way during the day, and I'm definitely more productive.
But at what price? Is this worth it? I think I need to find a balance between human companionship and self productivity.
Then again, I looooove sleep. Especially with no interruptions from other people. That's the ultimate. And who doesn't like naps?
Mmm. Sleep. Time to get some. Soon.
Perchance to dream.
Courtney,
Massively off topic, but my wife and I just got back from Oahu and Kauai to do family business (getting my father-in-law's place ready for renters - don't ask. It involves a demolition contractor) and thought about your entry on Italian charm bracelets. As I commented back then, my wife has one and she wore it to Hawaii. You should be amused to know that although they're all over Oahu, nobody on Kauai had ever seen one. Every place we went JoAnn kept getting asked about it.
Also, as a Hawaii ex-pat, you might want to share a bit about the upcoming Disney Lilo & Stitch movie with your friends. Specifically, it's set on Kauai. Kinda cool. It'll be neat to see if they reproduce any of the landmarks (I always have fun with that - in Six Days & Seven Nights, seeing Harrison Ford & Anne Heche stranded when you know there's a Dairy Queen in sight of where they're standing).

PS - I redesigned my site, swiping some inspiration from yours. If you get a minute, check out my shiny new domain: www.thehaws.org.
transmitted by Kevin on May 29, 2002 05:07 PMRight when I was leaving Oahu, I saw that the Italian bracelet phenomenon was coming on strong. Funny, because my parting gift from my office was 6 charms for my bracelet.
Interesting that you mention that no one on Kauai had seen one. A salesperson from the office on Kauai was selling them on the side.
Anyhoo, Lilo and Stitch is going to be featured on the front cover, exclusively, on our magazine. I say "our" still, since I am still contracting on the website. So anyone on the islands, keep an eye out for This Week Magazines in the coming weeks.
I'll be sure to peruse your site. Thanks :)
