I'm just about to leave to drop Kevin off at the airport again. Yep, he's still in the interview stage. This time he's off to the Bay Area for a couple of interviews. I do hope for something back in the Bay Area, since I miss it so much... and to be near my family again. tabmd.com

What I wish for the most is for us to know something. The uncertainty is killing us. We've slowly begun to pack books up, and preparing to move. I'm also trying to decide when to put in my notice at work. I still want to be able to relax and see things before we go, but I also don't want to be short on cash. Argh.

I'm tired. Must be Thursday the 14th. What that has to do with anything, I have no idea. Just looking for excuses, I guess. -_-

On a completely unrelated note, my momma sent me an Italian charm bracelet with a cute little 18k computer charm on it. I've never seen these things. Maybe it's because I'm on a secluded island. Are these things really big on the Mainland?

"Are these things really big on the Mainland?"

They're getting there. Two weeks ago, my wife bought one for herself, one for her niece, and one for my sister. They have them at accessary stores and (at incredible markups) on the little kiosks in the malls.

It's kind of a "Magic the Gathering" approach to jewelry. The base bracelets are $5-10 but individual links can go from $3 to (I kid you not) $50. I'm waiting for a trading market to kick off any day now (check Ebay?). I don't know whether to feel disgusted at capitalism or envious that I didn't think of it first (*GRIN*).

Oh yeah. Make sure you keep an eye on yours for breakage. Since every link is detachable, you can have them pop apart with too much use. I've already become the family expert in clicking them back together.

Don't let it bug you. Remember the "ribbon origami" craze that swept the islands last year? I thought that was cool. Shame it never made it to the mainland. *SIGH*

I've already scoped out the eBay selection of this stuff. Wow, it's hard to believe the prices some of this stuff goes for.

And it doesn't bug me at all that a trend passed me by. Most of them often do. ;)

Ribbon Origami... very cool stuff, agreed!
