What is with the craziness that is going on with these f*cked up parents? I have been religiously visiting courttv.com and have been appaled by what I have been reading. usamedsonline.com
Have you heard about the Mom that left her 4 and 7 year olds alone for 20 days over Christmas and New Year's to woo a potential boyfriend that she met over the Internet? Or perhaps you have had the completely nauseating story of the woman who locked three children in her basement to die, starving to death in a pool of their own urine and feces infested with lice. Only two of the three survived. And those two aren't doing all that great either. The mother had 10, count 'em, TEN CPS reports under her belt. Who in their right mind would recommend that these children go back to someone who treated her children so atrociously that she would have such a long list of reports against her. I read that some of those reports were in complaint of her BURNING her children. JESUS!
I have been seriously considering going through the process to be a foster parent again. Someone has got to give those children a safe, loving place to go. I want to be a provider of such a place. I am also looking into being a Court appointed child advocate.
I feel a tremendous pull toward service to and for abused and neglected children. I want and need to do something. Sometimes I feel like it's all I have to give.

It's insane, it doesn't make sense... then again, who ever said the family court system *ever* makes sense?
